European Commission Bids For EU-Wide Patent Law

Law360, New York (January 17, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- The European Commission launched a public consultation this week seeking a long-awaited agreement between the European Parliament and member-states regarding European Union-wide patent rules.

Attempts to draft single community patent rules proposed by the Commission more than five years ago have previously stalled.
