Insurer Shouldn't Exit Sony PSN Breach Case, Court Told

Law360, New York (January 14, 2014, 8:16 PM ET) -- Zurich American Insurance Co. urged a New York state court Tuesday to keep Great American Insurance Co. in a coverage battle over scores of lawsuits stemming from an infamous cyberattack on Sony Corp.'s PlayStation Network, arguing it could be wasteful to allow the insurer to exit. 

The brief from Zurich tries to dismantle Great American's request to be excused from the declaratory judgment case because Sony recently agreed to drop its claim for coverage under Great American's $25 million excess policy.
