Investor Wants $1.4M Davis Cedillo Contract Suit Revived

Law360, Houston (January 15, 2014, 10:02 PM ET) -- A foreign partner to a real estate venture told a Texas appeals court Wednesday that business registration laws should not stop it from suing Davis Cedillo & Mendoza Inc. over an allegedly secret $1.4 million loan secured against partnership property.

Liechtenstein-based Immobiliere Jeuness Establissement launched the suit in August 2012, alleging that attorneys with Davis Cedillo and a banker at InterContinental National Bank enabled the venture’s general partner Michael H.
