Navy Contractor To Pay $6.5M To Settle Overbilling Charges

Law360, New York (January 15, 2014, 5:12 PM EST) -- Information technology contractor Vector Planning & Services Inc. agreed Tuesday to pay $6.5 million to settle civil and criminal claims that it defrauded the Department of Defense by submitting false claims, according to federal prosecutors. 

San Diego-based Vector admitted that its former CEO and majority owner criminally defrauding the DOD by double-billing it over a five-year period, resulting in loses of more than $3.6 million, according to an agreement entered in federal court Tuesday before U.S. Magistrate Judge William McCurine Jr.
