Texas High Court Takes Up Pipeline Trespass Suit

Law360, Houston (January 15, 2014, 8:34 PM ET) -- The Texas Supreme Court agreed Wednesday to consider a couple’s bid to revive a jury verdict they scored in a contract dispute with Enbridge Pipelines East Texas LP over pipeline construction that allegedly ruined formerly pristine land.

On Feb. 27, the high court will hear Gilbert and Katherine Wheeler’s argument for restoring a $300,000 award against Enbridge for ignoring an agreement to preserve trees while developing the pipeline on an easement the couple granted across their 153-acre tract of land.
