Law360, New York (January 16, 2014, 3:29 PM EST) -- Charter Communications Inc. has approached Philadelphia-based rival Comcast Corp. about going in on a Time Warner Cable Inc. bid together after the target company brushed off its initial $37.3 billion takeover offer, sources told Reuters on Thursday. A deal between Charter and Comcast could split up the systems and subscribers now covered by Time Warner, the No. 2 cable provider in the U.S. Discussions over how to structure a prospective alliance are in early stages.
