Former Georgia DOD Employee Indicted For Corruption

Law360, New York (January 17, 2014, 3:07 PM EST) -- A former contracting official with the Georgia Department of Defense and her co-conspirator have been indicted for allegedly awarding National Guard contracts in exchange for illegal kickbacks, the United States Attorney’s Office announced Thursday.

Raytosha Elliott, who from May 2007 to April 2012 worked as an engineering operations manager at the Clay National Guard Center at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta, Ga., allegedly awarded numerous small contracts to vendor companies created by her friends and associates in exchange for a 50 percent kickback, according to...
