Passed Over For Promotion, DOI Employee Cries Foul

Law360, New York (March 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An employee of the U.S. Department of the Interior who was denied a promotion has accused the head of the federal agency of discriminating against him because he is Hispanic and 56 years old.

Andrew Villalpando filed suit Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah against Dirk Kempthorne, the secretary of the interior, charging him and the agency he runs with racial bias and age discrimination.
