Dems Push IRS For Tougher Rules On 501(c)(4) Spending

Steve Horsford, D-Nev., on Tuesday urged the Internal Revenue Service to toughen regulations on so-called social welfare 501(c)(4) organizations that engage in political spending, as Congressional Democrats continue to call for the agency to restrict the tax-exempt groups from spending on campaigns.
