USPS Contractor Fired Worker For Fraud Questions, Suit Says

Law360, New York (January 22, 2014, 3:20 PM EST) -- U.S. Postal Service contractor Area Storage and Transfer Inc. was sued for wrongful termination in Pennsylvania federal court Friday for allegedly firing an accountant after she brought attention to its fraudulent financial statements.

Jennifer Chotas claims husband-and-wife duo David F. Demchak II and Lori Demchak — Area’s president and vice-president, respectively — fired her after she began to investigate potentially fraudulent financial statements the company was submitting to the USPS in order to renew its contract.
