Torrent Of Last-Ditch Motions Filed By Enron Defense

Law360, New York (January 18, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- In light of a recent Oregon decision, former Enron CEO Jeffrey Skilling has renewed calls for a federal judge to ban incriminating testimony he gave to the Securities and Exchange Commission over four years ago from his upcoming fraud and conspiracy trial.

The latest motion, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, prevailed upon U.S. District Judge Sim Lake to reverse an earlier decision, where he ruled that prosecutors could present the SEC testimony to jurors.
