Justices Urged To Back Early Patent-Eligibility Rulings

Law360, New York (January 23, 2014, 3:45 PM EST) -- Macy's Inc. and other retailers weighed in Thursday on a closely watched U.S. Supreme Court case over software patents, urging the justices to require courts to decide early in a case whether software-related inventions are patent-eligible, to curb baseless suits by so-called patent trolls.
