Krispy Kreme Signs 23-Unit China Development Deal

Law360, New York (January 23, 2014, 2:54 PM EST) -- Continuing its expansion streak, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. announced Thursday that it has struck a development deal with a Chinese franchise company to build 23 new stores in one of the country's key growing provinces.

Per the five-year deal, prominent franchisee Haiya Group Co. Ltd. will develop the new stores in the Guangdong province of China, according to the companies. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The province, located in the southeast section of the country, is close to Hong Kong.
