Ariz. Again Will Mull Increase In R&D Tax Credit Cap

Law360, New York (January 23, 2014, 2:32 PM EST) -- The Arizona Legislature once again will consider whether to increase the annual cap on the state's research and development tax credit from $5 million to $15 million, months after Gov. Jan Brewer vetoed a nearly identical bill.

Rep. Karen Fann, R-Prescott, introduced a bill Wednesday that would increase the cap on the state's R&D credit to $10 million next year, and $15 million for subsequent years. Supporters of such an increase have said boosting the credit would bring high-tech jobs to Arizona.
