LA Sheriff's Dept. Can't Tackle OT Claims Individually

Law360, Los Angeles (January 23, 2014, 10:15 PM ET) -- A California state judge tentatively ruled Thursday that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department can't compel roughly 10,000 officers to arbitrate overtime claims against the department individually, in a suit the agency filed to prevent the employees from arbitrating as a class.
