GE Hit With FLSA Class Action By Service Techs From 4 States

Law360, New York (January 27, 2014, 5:06 PM EST) -- General Electric Co. was hit Thursday with a putative wage-and-hour class action in New Jersey federal court filed by current and former service technicians, representing classes from four states, who allege they were forced to work through lunch breaks and perform duties off the clock without overtime. 

The suit was brought by seven GE service technicians who currently work or formerly worked for the company in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Florida, Delaware and Georgia. The complaint seeks class certification for similarly situated plaintiffs in New Jersey,...
