FTC To Lead Probe Of Sysco’s $3.5B US Foods Buy

Law360, New York (January 24, 2014, 3:28 PM EST) -- Antitrust regulators have decided that the Federal Trade Commission will take the reins, along with Florida regulators, in the investigation of Sysco Corp.’s proposed $3.5 billion acquisition of US Foods, a deal that would merge two of the largest food distribution companies in the country, a Sysco spokesperson said Friday.
