Blank Rome Nabs Reed Smith Trade Partner For DC Office

Law360, New York (January 27, 2014, 1:54 PM EST) -- Blank Rome LLP has expanded its presence in Washington by hiring an international trade attorney from Reed Smith LLP with more than two decades of experience in maritime law, export controls and sanctions for energy companies and other clients, the firm announced Monday.

Matthew J. Thomas comes aboard as Blank Rome's newest partner in its maritime, international trade and public contracts group.

Alan J. Hoffman, Blank Rome's chairman and managing partner, said that Thomas' extensive experience makes him an ideal fit for the firm.
