Perkins Coie Nabs Ex-SEC Chief Litigation Counsel In DC

Law360, New York (January 28, 2014, 12:19 PM EST) -- The former chief litigation counsel of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has joined Perkins Coie LLP's white collar and litigation teams as a partner in its Washington, D.C., office, the firm announced Monday.

Luis R. Mejia, a veteran investigator with experience representing clients before the SEC, the U.S. Department of Justice, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Congress and other authorities, is the latest high-profile litigator to join the firm's white collar team, the firm said.
