Panasonic Ducks ITC Display Patent Probe With License Deal

Law360, Los Angeles (January 28, 2014, 7:52 PM EST) -- Graphic Properties Holdings Inc. asked the U.S. International Trade Commission on Tuesday to drop its investigation into possible patent infringement by Panasonic Corp., according to a joint motion disclosing a patent license and settlement agreement.

GPH, a licensing entity that inherited the intellectual property of bankrupt Silicon Graphics Inc., said it had agreed to settle claims that Panasonic imported cell phones that infringed GPH’s digital display patents.
