BP Federal Contracting Ban Should Stick, US Says

Law360, New York (January 29, 2014, 2:12 PM EST) -- The U.S. government on Tuesday urged a Texas federal judge to uphold its contracting ban on BP PLC enacted after the Deepwater Horizon disaster and the company's related guilty plea, saying the suspension is consistent with applicable law and supported by its administrative record.
