Rep. Nadler Takes Top Democrat Spot On House IP Panel

Law360, New York (January 29, 2014, 2:19 PM EST) -- Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., on Tuesday was selected to fill the vacant spot for top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and Internet Subcommittee.

Nadler will replace longtime ranking member Mel Watt, D-N.C., who left Congress earlier this month to run the Federal Housing Finance Agency, and take the reins as the subcommittee continues its small steps toward possible sweeping copyright reform legislation.
