Wal-Mart, Apple, Others Pledge To Aid Long-Term Jobless

Law360, Los Angeles (January 31, 2014, 8:20 PM ET) -- President Barack Obama announced Friday that more than 300 companies nationwide — including heavyweights like Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Bank of America Corp. and Apple Inc. — have pledged to take measures to give the long-term unemployed a fair shot at a job, part of the president's announced plan to boost the economy.
