Husky Energy To Put $300M Toward Ohio Refinery Upgrades

Law360, New York (February 3, 2014, 3:50 PM EST) -- Husky Energy will upgrade its Lima, Ohio, refinery, to process an extra 40,000 barrels of heavy crude per day for about $300 million, the Canadian energy company said Monday. 

The flexibility upgrade includes modifying the coker and processing units to allow the process of heavy crude feedstock from Western Canada. The project is slated for completion in 2017 and will give the refinery greater flexibility, which the company expects to pay for itself.
