Appeals Court Reverses Noninfringement Ruling

Law360, New York (March 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has reversed summary judgment in a patent dispute over menu board technology, finding that the lower court incorrectly construed most of the claims at issue and relied heavily on guidance from attorneys to interpret the case.

In an opinion issued Wednesday, U.S. Circuit Judge Richard Linn vacated the lower court's decision to grant plaintiff LSI Industries Inc. a finding of noninfringement and sent the case back to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky....
