Ex-AIG Chief Wins Access To Documents

Law360, New York (January 23, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Maurice R. Greenberg, the former chief of insurance giant American International Group, has scored a small victory in his battle against New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, after a judge ruled that Greenberg has the right to see internal documents relating to accounting issues at the insurance company that eventually caused his departure.

A New York judge ruled that Greenberg should be allowed access to a confidential AIG internal financial report, which lawyers for Greenberg allege Spitzer relied upon when bringing charges against him.
