Injunction Against Qualcomm Chips Survives Appeal

Law360, New York (March 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An appellate judge refused Tuesday to block a lower court's permanent injunction barring Qualcomm Inc. from importing and selling chips and devices that allegedly infringe three Broadcom Corp. patents.

Judge Sharon Prost of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit denied Qualcomm's motion to stay the injunction pending the company's appeal of the district court's finding of infringement.
