Court Overturns NLRB Decision On Harassment Rule

Law360, New York (March 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appellate court has partially overturned a National Labor Relations Board ruling which found that executives at auto parts maker Stanadyne Automobile Corp. did not commit unfair labor practices in the weeks leading up to a union vote.

On Thursday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit agreed with the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America, AFL-CIO that a rule issued by Stanadyne President and CEO William Gurley prohibiting “harassment” against fellow employees at the company’s Windsor, Conn....
