KKR To Acquire National Vision From Berkshire Partners

Law360, New York (February 7, 2014, 1:16 PM EST) -- Private equity firm KKR has agreed to acquire glasses retailer National Vision Inc. from Berkshire Partners for an undisclosed amount, the companies said Friday.

News agencies cited inside sources in reporting a $1 billion price tag for the deal, but the companies did not officially confirm this number. According to KKR, NVI is the nation's fastest growing optical retailer with a focus on affordable glasses and contact lenses. It has 750 low price centers around the country.
