ITC To Weigh Import Ban After Redesign In Leviton IP Row

Law360, New York (February 10, 2014, 3:30 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission launched an inquiry into whether redesigned circuit interrupters made by a Syracuse, N.Y., company should be subject to an order banning the import and sale of products that infringe a Leviton Manufacturing Co. patent, according to an announcement Monday.

The ITC instituted a proceeding to determine if Pass & Seymour Inc.’s new devices violate the Leviton patent and whether they should be subject to the general exclusion order.
