K&L Gates Says It Needs Oil Data For Malpractice Defense

Law360, Dallas (February 12, 2014, 4:02 PM EST) -- K&L Gates LLP on Monday asked the Texas Supreme Court not to block the firm from accessing oil reserve data from a drilling project in Kentucky and West Virginia, saying that whether or not the information contains trade secrets, it is an essential part of its defense against a malpractice claim brought by one of the project’s partners.
