Enviro Groups Ready Legal Action Against Shenango Coke

Law360, Philadelphia (February 13, 2014, 5:14 PM EST) -- A slate of environmental groups on Wednesday threw their support behind plans to launch a lawsuit against a DTE Energy Services subsidiary for alleged violations of federal emissions standards at a coke plant near Pittsburgh.

Environmental organizations, including the Clean Air Council and Citizens for Pennsylvania’s Future, said they would support efforts by the Group Against Smog and Pollution to force Shenango Inc. to address claims that the company’s plant had seen at least one environmental violation on each of 330 days during a 432-day period....
