5th Circ. Affirms Limits On SOX Whistleblower Protection

Law360, Los Angeles (February 12, 2014, 9:22 PM ET) -- The Fifth Circuit affirmed the U.S. Department of Labor’s decision to not revive a Sarbanes-Oxley Act whistleblower suit claiming a former executive of a Core Laboratories NV unit was fired for complaining about alleged tax fraud in Colombia, ruling Wednesday the protection doesn't apply to non-U.S. claims.
