Calif. Consumers Denied Class Cert. In Sears Dryers Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (February 13, 2014, 4:01 PM EST) -- A California federal judge refused Wednesday to certify a putative class of California consumers in a suit accusing Sears Roebuck & Co. of deceptively marketing faulty dryers, ruling that the class didn't meet commonality, typicality and adequacy requirements.
