Pa. Justices Defend Landmark Fracking Ruling To Lawmakers

Law360, Philadelphia (February 24, 2014, 5:56 PM EST) -- Justices on both sides of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court decision that struck down key provisions of the state’s sweeping law on hydraulic fracturing defended the process on Monday during hearings on budget allocations for the state’s judiciary.

Chief Justice Ronald Castille and Justice Michael Eakin, testifying before the state House Appropriations Committee, hit back at suggestions by law supporter Rep. Brian Ellis, R-Butler, that the court failed to properly consider evidence in the matter.
