Trumbull Beats Cert. Bid In Suit Over Workers' Comp

Law360, New York (February 18, 2014, 8:35 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge refused Tuesday to certify a putative class action accusing Trumbull Insurance Co. of inflating workers' compensation insurance premiums, saying that the individual circumstances of each plaintiff would make resolving the case as a class too difficult.

U.S. District Judge Cynthia M. Rufe held that she could not certify the suit filed by NBL Flooring Inc. because individualized concerns would likely overwhelm common factual and legal issues.
