NJ High Court Admonishes Judge Who Helped Girlfriend

Law360, New York (February 18, 2014, 5:56 PM EST) -- The New Jersey Supreme Court on Tuesday publicly admonished a judge for involving himself in his now-wife's request for certain school funding but agreed that his help in legal disputes with the father of her children wasn't an ethical violation.

The high court adopted recommendations from the state Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct with respect to Hudson County Superior Court Judge Joseph V. Isabella, who accepted responsibility for half of a two-count complaint accusing him of violating state judicial canons.
