Guidant MDL Lawyers Ask Judge To Reconsider Order

Law360, New York (March 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The committee representing lead counsel for plaintiffs in the settled multidistrict litigation against Guidant Corp.'s implantable defibrillators has asked the presiding judge to reconsider his order, which slashed $10 million from the attorneys' $45 million bill and capped contingency fees.

The committee, which negotiated a $240 million global settlement with Guidant, sent a letter Tuesday to Judge Donovan Frank of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, asking permission to file motions requesting a second look at the order.
