Railroads Reach Crude Oil Shipping Safety Deal With DOT

Law360, Washington (February 21, 2014, 7:35 PM EST) -- The U.S. freight rail industry has reached a deal with the U.S. Department of Transportation to put into place voluntary safety standards for the shipping of crude oil by rail, following several recent fiery derailments, according to joint DOT and industry announcements made on Friday.
