Indiana U Data Breach Exposes Records Of 146K Students

Law360, New York (February 26, 2014, 4:43 PM EST) -- Indiana University may have exposed the personal information, including names, addresses and Social Security numbers, of approximately 146,000 students and recent graduates during a data breach, the university said Tuesday.

The university said it secured the data after learning it was accessed by three automatic computer data mining applications, according to a statement. The breach affected all students who attended any of IU’s seven campuses from 2011 to 2014.
