Va. Gov. Signs Repeal Of State's Hybrid Vehicle Tax

Law360, New York (February 26, 2014, 6:26 PM EST) -- Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe on Wednesday signed into law a bill that repealed the state’s annual fee on hybrid vehicles, ditching the tax due to overwhelming bipartisan support.

McAuliffe signed the bill while live on WTOP radio, and it permanently abandoned the hybrid tax approved as a part of the state’s omnibus transportation package last year.
