NJ Assembly OKs Bill Protecting Immigrants From Phony Attys

Law360, New York (February 28, 2014, 8:25 PM EST) -- The New Jersey General Assembly on Thursday approved legislation to prevent notaries public from holding themselves out as attorneys, the latest measure designed to prevent unscrupulous notaries from preying on undocumented immigrants who believe notaries can perform legal services.
