LG, InnoLux LCD Cartel Fines Trimmed By $23M In EU Court

Law360, New York (February 27, 2014, 5:08 PM EST) -- A European Union court on Thursday trimmed €5 million ($6.9 million) from LG Display Co. Ltd.'s €215 million fine for its role in a liquid crystal display panel cartel and cut €12 million from InnoLux Corp.'s €300 million penalty over the same plot.

The EU's General Court agreed to trim both companies' fines based on errors in the European Commission's calculations of the penalties, handed down in 2010 as part of nearly €650 million in fines against six Korean and Taiwanese electronics companies.
