Queensland Greenlights $82M For Infrastructure Projects

Law360, New York (March 3, 2014, 3:04 PM EST) -- The Australian state of Queensland signed off Monday on roughly AU$92 million (US$82 million) in improvements to roads, water treatment facilities and day care services in the region, marking the latest round of funding under the state’s resource improvement initiative.

With approval from the Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning, 20 regional councils can move forward with projects under the program, known as Royalties for the Regions, the state said in a statement.
