Eisai Wins Injunction In Aricept Case

Law360, New York (March 28, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal judge has granted Eisai Co. Ltd.'s request for a preliminary injunction to block Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. from marketing a generic version of its Alzheimer's disease treatment Aricept.

Judge Harold A. Ackerman of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey said in an order Friday that Eisai's patent for the drug was enforceable and that the company will likely succeed with its litigation against Teva.
