GAO Denies Protest Over Corps Construction Contract

Law360, New York (March 4, 2014, 3:22 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has denied a bid protest brought by A&D General Contracting claiming the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers improperly assessed their past performance in awarding a contract for construction support services in Alabama, according to a decision made public Tuesday.

In the Feb. 24 decision, the GAO said the agency has reasonably assigned a “satisfactory” confidence rating to A&D’s past performance, which knocked it out of the running after the first round in the bid for the construction contract.
