Senate Confirms 4 Federal Judge Nominees

Law360, Washington (March 5, 2014, 6:43 PM EST) -- The U.S. Senate on Wednesday voted to confirm four nominees for judicial vacancies in Puerto Rico, Tennessee, Arkansas and California federal courts, as senators again took the chance to wrangle over the Senate process for confirming executive nominees.

Three of the nominees were confirmed unopposed, with vote tallies ranging from 98-0 to 100-0, while Vince G. Chhabria, a deputy city attorney with the San Francisco city attorney's office nominated to the Northern District of California, was confirmed in a 58-41 vote, mostly along party lines....
