Fla. Bill To Clarify Arcade Game Terms, Post-Slots Scandal

Law360, Miami (March 10, 2014, 6:24 PM EDT) -- A Florida Senate panel on Monday passed a bill aimed at clarifying the legality of certain arcade games in the wake of legislation passed last year tightening a ban on gray-market slot machines after a scandal that prompted the lieutenant governor's resignation.

SB 668, sponsored by Sen. Kelli Stargel, R-Lakeland, amends the definition of amusement machines and guidelines surrounding their operation and prize payouts.
