Gas Groups Aim To Intervene In Pa. Fracking Rule Challenge

Law360, Philadelphia (March 6, 2014, 2:20 PM EST) -- A trio of oil and gas groups asked the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court on Wednesday to allow them to intervene in an ongoing challenge to statewide rules on hydraulic fracturing after the state Supreme Court struck down broad portions of the industry-supported law in December.

The groups said that important unresolved issues being considered on remand after the Supreme Court largely gutted the law, known as Act 13, in their December ruling required their direct participation in the case as it moves forward.
