ACA Mandate Tweaks Give Employers Some Breathing Room

Law360, New York (March 10, 2014, 5:45 PM EDT) -- Newly finalized Affordable Care Act regulations that streamline the data-reporting obligations of businesses are a modest win for employers, which can now avoid some of the law's especially onerous requirements, but companies won't entirely escape administrative headaches.

The rules from the U.S. Department of the Treasury are key to how corporations comply with the ACA's so-called employer mandate, which requires that businesses with 50 or more full-time workers offer benefits to these staffers.
